On Monday 22nd October, girls from three different schools in Salford (Oasis, All Hallows and Buile Hill) met during their half term break to talk about all things Salford and positive changes they want to make within their community in the coming year. Their journey started with a week long programme at the legendary Salford Lads Club and resulted in a four point Manifesto which was launched at 4pm on Friday 26th October. The Manifesto points on Leadership, Enterprise, Activism or Community Development highlighted their interest in youth sport provision for females, homelessness support, youth safety within the community and the creation of more cleaner, greener spaces within Salford.

On Friday 26th, the girls took to Media City, Salford to speak to locals, businesses, community leaders & the BBC to discuss their Manifesto points in more depth and consult with other community members about how best to action their points.
