Roger joined RECLAIM as Chief Executive at the end of 2018 and is passionate about working class people being represented and heard wherever decisions are made that affect their lives. Proud of being raised by a single mum in a council house, he knows first-hand some of the barriers faced by working class young people and how they can be overcome with enough support from other working class people and allies.

Roger began his career fighting for social justice at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation before becoming Director of Communications, Policy and Campaigns at the housing and homelessness charity Shelter. Since 2017 he has been a Non-Exec Board Trustee of Victim Support, and in 2019 was selected to join the Mayor of London's new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group.
